The Experience, Oakland: Pizzichillo – Gordon Glass

The team of Bruce Pizzichillo and Dari Gordon open their studio doors to the public only a few times a year.

The rest of those 365 are spent focused on nothing but creating stunning heirloom quality pieces along with beautiful, and sometimes whimsical, functional glassware.

If you are planning a holiday shopping excursion, or simply love to look at beautiful glass art, add the studio to your itinerary. You’ll find vases, bowls, lighting, jewelry, sculptural and wall art, and other items that you or your giftee will treasure.

Pizzichillo and Gordon’s work is sought after by collectors and galleries worldwide and has been featured in numerous publications. Inspired by nature, the rich, romantic colors of opaque and transparent glasses transport you, if only in spirit, to a place of wonder and awe.

Holiday Open Studio Hours:

November 25, 26 and 27
Saturdays in December: 3, 10, 17 (May be extended through December 24)
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Check their calendar for other open studio dates throughout the year – typically these fall in May, July and September, in addition to November/December.

When the studio is closed to the public, you can shop by appointment, and online.

Where:

2680 Union Street
Oakland
