Alameda’s Got Mother’s Day Covered! And It’s Infused With Music.

Fri. May 12, 6 – 9pm Rock Wall Presents Food Truck Frenzy Mother Trucker 2017 – if you are part of their wine club, you have a VIP entrance at 5pm.  Rock Wall Wine Co. is located on the Bay at 2301 Monarch Street in Alameda. Bring your mama, your loved ones and your peeps and join Rock Wall for an evening of wine, food and fun! Sip delectable Rock Wall wines, enjoy gourmet street food from the Bay Area’s best food trucks, get your dance to Soulstice (Reggae) and  DJ That Girl and watch the sun set against the San Francisco skyline. Tickets are $6 online and $12 at the door.

Admission includes a complimentary photo booth, free airbrush tattoo, palm/tarot card reading and a special Mother’s* only lounge! Food and wine by the glass is available for an additional charge. This is a family friendly event which is open to all ages. Children 5 and under are free. Children must be supervised at all times. You must be 21+ to purchase wine. Age will be verified at admission. And sorry, no dogs allowed.

*They will have a Mothers-only lounge where Mom can kick back,  relax and enjoy a complimentary beauty stop. Let LunchboxWax wow your brows and get a 5-minute glamover by Sophia Olivia. And they have you covered for gifts for mom – facial products, jewelry, bottles of bubbly, etc.

Food trucks include: Scolari’s Good Eats, Frozen Kuhsterd, Savourie Streets, Stuff My Waffle, Kenny’s Heart & Soul, Mario’s French Dips, Javi’s Empanadas, Bombzies, Little Green Cyclo, Grill Cheese Bandits, Sam’s Clam Chowder and more.

 

Sat. May 13 & Sun., May 14, 10am- 6pm  Downtown Alameda Spring Festival  – An Alameda tradition, this Mother’s Day Wine, Art & Street Faire is located on historic Park Street, between Encinal Ave and Lincoln Ave. There’s always great live music, food, kids’ area, beer and wine corners and a terrific selection of gifts  among the 150 arts and craft booths. You’ll find ceramics and metal art, paintings, photography, wood crafts, toys, handbags, clothing, jewelry and more.

Food & Drink:

Festival favorites: Lockeford Sausage, corndogs, fried calamari, teriyaki chicken, beef skewers, funnel cakes and more. Premium vinegars and gourmet fudge will also be available for purchase. For the over-21 crowd – Quench your thirst at one of the three booths serving craft beers by Alameda Island Brewing Co., regional wines by Rock Wall Wine Company and bubbly mimosas.

Save Animals at the Fun Artwalk in Alameda

2nd Friday Artwalk raised $700 for the Friends of Alameda Animal Shelter

Tonight – Sept. 9th is the very first 2nd Friday Artwalk For Animals! Benefiting Friends of Alameda Animal Shelter

Select Alameda & Jingletown galleries plus 2nd Friday businesses are getting together to help raise money and awareness for Alameda’s Animal Shelter FAAS, Fri., Sept. 9th from 6-9pm.

Have a fun evening with friends – dinner, drinks and art appreciation to help those in the shelters.

Visit Friday Art Walk to get a full list of all Sept. 9th, Artwalk For Animals participants and locations of the businesses.
