Scott will teach you the art of creating the perfect charcuterie board. And you will be ready for your holidays. Jim DeWitt Showcase + Estate Sale!

Today is Halloween and you are in for a treat!

Jim DeWitt’s daughter Pam Delaney worked diligently to uncover the remaining body of artwork that she has at her Dewitt Gallery & Framing shop in Pt Richmond. And now she is opening her shop for five days Wed, Nov 13 through Sun, Nov 17 for the Jim DeWitt Estate Sale.

Join her to celebrate her father’s work at the Opening Reception Wed, Nov 13. from 4-8pm. Gallery hours Thurs – Sun are 11am – 8pm. His paintings are vibrant, just like the man.

About Jim DeWitt

Jim DeWitt gained world renown for his paintings of racing yachts. The spirit and honesty of his vibrant and action-filled marine art reflects both his prodigious artistic skills and his many years as a sailing champion in San Francisco and beyond.

In 2012, Jim was named Artist-in-Residence by the Golden Gate Yacht Club, host of the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco. He passed away Nov 19, 2022, at age 92, leaving a void in the San Francisco Bay Area sailing community.

The Experience, Alameda: Alameda on the Bay News

The Experience:

Get ready. New ferry schedule coming Nov 6!

After three months of successful service, over 34,000 rides taken and 7400 bikes carried, the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle (OAWS) will launch a new schedule on Wednesday, November 6, with 52 more runs each week and more frequent service.

Here’s the OAWS scoop:

  • FREE!
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Bicycle-friendly
  • Accommodates up to 31 passengers and 14 bicycles (on bike racks)
  • Runs between Alameda Landing (behind Target, at the Bohol Circle Immigrant Park dock) and Oakland’s Jack London Square (at the foot of Broadway)
  • Operates 5 days per week, Wednesdays through Sundays, for about 12 hours each day
  • Two-year pilot, with the opportunity to grow over time
  • Check out the new schedule here

It’s the best way to cross the estuary!
