Help keep our Bay healthy and clean up Emeryville’s shoreline for Earth Day! This year the City of Emeryville will be hosting an “Earth Day in Action” event by organizing our local Shoreline Park cleanup.
- When: Saturday, April 23rd, 2016
- Time: 9 am – noon
- Location: Shorebird Park, Emeryville, Meet at Chevy’s Restaurant, 1890 Powell St. in Emeryville
Meet in the parking lot at 9am at Chevy’s Restaurant for registration and a brief training by the Fire Department, and then head down to the beach to clean up the Shoreline.
Please bring reusable collection bags or buckets, water bottles, coffee mugs, garden gloves and digging claws. Supplies will be provided for those who cannot bring their own. Free refreshments will be available for volunteers.
Participants advise you to wear sunscreen, sturdy shoes, layered clothing and a hat.
For any questions or further information, contact Stacy Thomas at [email protected] or 510-596-4314. Check out some of the items volunteers carefully removed last year – evidence that a lot of people still smoke! Save the Bay and the Emeryville Shoreline!
