According to a Feb. 3 declaration, the America’s Cup website announced that Jimmy Spithill will seek his third America’s Cup win with ORACLE TEAM USA.
The team confirmed Spithill will return to the American team where he won the America’s Cup in 2010 before defending it in San Francisco this past September.
“Being a part of the team when we first won in 2010 and then to be able to get back to back wins and now to have an opportunity at a third, it’s been an amazing ride,” Spithill says. “I feel fortunate to have been a part of it since day one and I’m looking forward to going at it again.”
