The Experience: Salsa & Sangria! Picnic on the Plaza! Picnic on the Plaza 2026 returns on Sunday, September 20th from 12 - 4pm at Antioch Court. Get ready for salsa dancing, tasty Latin food, drinks, and a fun afternoon. Be game for dancing! Salsa & Sangria turns Antioch Court into an outdoor salsa dance floor for an afternoon of music, movement and community fun. The Oakland Salsa Club will lead Absolute Beginner’s Salsa Lessons, with music by Dímelo DJ and hosting by Candi Martinez. The afternoon kicks off with an open-floor DJ set from noon–1 p.m., followed by beginner salsa lessons from 1–2 p.m. The fun continues with a Salsa Social from 2–4 p.m. Bring your dance shoes—Antioch Court will have a dance floor installed for the event! Between dancing, participants can visit the Sangria Bar

The Experience Bornday Party! Faction Brewing turns 13! KXSF is throwing a joint birthday party with Faction Brewing as they celebrate their 8th birthday and Faction officially turns lucky 13. And mind you, they’re throwing a proper Bornday party. Join them out at the Alameda Point Saturday, September 26, from 12-9pm. This will also be their release party for the first KXSF Live Mixtape featuring songs recorded during their KXSF Live sessions over the last year. The Experience: Landmark exhibition showcases 210 works by 106 artists connected to Emeryville. Immerse yourself in the Art Scene and celebrate Emeryville’s vibrant arts community! WHERE: 5905 Shellmound St, Public Market Emeryville. WHEN: October 3 through 25, 2026, 11am-6 pm. Wednesdays through Sundays. OPENING: Gala Opening Night Reception on Friday, October 2, from 6-9pm The 2026 Emeryville Art Exhibition will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, marking four decades of bringing artists, residents, businesses and visitors together through one of the city’s most enduring cultural traditions. First presented in 1987, the exhibition was imagined when City leaders, interested in shaking the city’s reputation as a decaying industrial town, sponsored an art exhibition to ‘clean up’ the city’s image, highlighting Emeryville’s creative community while creating an event residents could proudly call their own. “The Emeryville Art Exhibition is what art has always been meant to be: accessible, inclusive, affordable and engaging,” said John J. Bauters, Director of Emeryville Celebration of the Arts. “Art is the medium through which ideas, perspectives, questions and emotions take form, and our exhibition is the forum where the community gathers to receive, discuss, embrace and share in them.”

The Experience Saturday: Closing party for 'Between Us'! Join RCCD this Saturday, August 29th at 5pm for the closing celebration of Betwwen Us by Jasmine Singh Rosado. Word on the street is that it will be the Met Gala of Emeryville, so bring your stunning selves to spend the evening with your friends, neighbors and community. Come for the closing party and pick up your portrait, share some food, listen to music and celebrate the connections made through the exhibition! And afterwards, find a great dining spot at Bay St or just go shopping! RCCD Gallery Hours: Thurs-Sun, 1-6pm About Between Us is a free creative portrait studio in the RCCD Gallery at Bay Street Emeryville. Each week brought a new set design, new theme, and new invitation to show up and be seen. It is built around liminality – the in-between states of time, space, and identity we all move through. Every portrait accumulates into one collective installation at the August 29th closing show. Between Us is created by artist Jasmine Singh Rosado.
