And now she is opening her shop for five days Wed, Nov 13 through Sun, Nov 17 for the Jim DeWitt Estate Sale. Join her to celebrate her father’s work at the Opening Reception Wed, Nov 13. from 4-8pm. After three months of successful service, over 34,000 rides taken and 7400 bikes carried, the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle (OAWS) will launch a new schedule on Wednesday, November 6, with 52 more runs each week and more frequent service. Here’s the OAWS scoop: FREE! Wheelchair accessible Bicycle-friendly Accommodates up to 31 passengers and 14 bicycles (on bike racks) Runs between Alameda Landing (behind Target, at the Bohol Circle Immigrant Park dock) and Oakland's Jack London Square (at the foot of Broadway) Operates 5 days per week, Wednesdays through Sundays, for about 12 hours each day

The Experience Great connexions, killer appetizers + drinks! Emeryville Connexions' Happy Hour at Fogo de Chao at Bay St on Oct 23 was a smashing success! Over 50 business folks gathered in the beautiful airy event venue at Fogo to eat, drink, and have conversations. Mayor Welch, Vice Mayor Mourra and Community Development Director Chad Smalley mingled with guests and the Emeryville Commerce Connection (ECC) Board of Directors, Emeryville Makers, Biotech, Tech & Hospitality folks, Innovators, Artists, and more. Board chair Christa Williams of Bay St impressed upon the audience the importance of joining the ECC to keep Emeryville healthy and vibrant. RPM3 Jazz Trio is a highly swinging band devoted to personalized renditions of jazz classics, standards from the Great American Songbook, and Brazilian gems.
