They’re brewing up a spooky good time on Halloween! Join Karibu Wine Lounge, sip Wichira wines and experience a night of enchantment at their Halloween Masquerade Ball! Expect an evening filled with mystique, captivating costumes and endless fun.  Tasty Bites will be available for purchase to accompany the evening’s musical entertainment.  And stick around until the end as they unveil the winner of the costume contest!

KARIBU by Wachira wine lounge is the home of Wachira Wines, an extraordinary vision and effort of Dr. Chris Wachira, the first Kenyan-born, Californian winemaker. July is for Wine + Art + Music!

Who’s enjoying this July heat? Karibu quotes Stephen King, “In July, the wine dances in the glass and sings in your mouth.”  There are eleven days left in July and Karibu is waiting for you to come in and taste their wines by Wichira, guided by knowledgeable wine consultants. And have fun!

Here’s the weekend lineup:

  • Thursday 7/20, 7-9pm – Karaoke with Alisha Channel your inner superstar and grab the microphone for an unforgettable night of singing ‘n sipping, laughter and plenty of wine.
  • Friday 7/21, 4-7pm – Babes n Bubbles There’s a reason why their bubbles keep winning awards. Stop by the wine lounge, enjoy some good vibes and try the bubbly for yourself. Bring friends!
  • Saturday 7/22, 5pm – Pour Decisions Meet & Greet with featured artist Ashlie Kego 5pm. Music w/DJ JoahnnyBeats. Come say hi to Ashlie, this month’s featured artist. Don’t miss this opportunity to get an inside look into her wonderful works of art and maybe even take one home. (Not many know that Ashlie started painting during the pandemic.)
  • Soko Sundaze 7/23, 3-5pm LIVE music with Ariel Marin

Friday, February 5 @7pm Demystifying the Journey showcases the work of nine outstanding African American artists, the 2018-2020 Jan Hart-Schuyers Award Winners in the Bay Area and is co -presented by Art of the African Diaspora. The FREE Virtual Reception includes a dialogue with the artists.

Sunday, February 14 Valentine Chocolate Tasting Gather your chocolate-loving family and friends and join Sharol Nelson-Embry, owner of Cocoa Case, in a guided chocolate tasting journey on Zoom. Great for a singles soirée, date-night or family fun!

Sunday, February 21 @1:30pm The Amazing Bubble Show The Amazing Bubble Man explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles in this virtual show on Zoom. Combining comedy and artistry with audience questions and bubble tricks, this show is fun for all ages.

Tuesday, February 23 @7pm Unsung Women of Music A humorous, highly immersive, and historically accurate course that reveals the awe-inspiring female song makers, beat-shakers, and dealmakers nudged to the margins of music history.

Dance & Support Arts Education for East Bay Youth!

Get ready to dance, party, laugh and play to support arts education programming for East Bay students at Rhythmix MashUP – Virtual Benefit for Youth Arts!  Enjoy an exclusive evening of virtual arts featuring comedy with Marga Gomez and music by Tracy Blackman, Jet Black Pearl and Terrie Odabi.  Exhibit highlights with Shauna Rosenblum of Rock Wall Winery and 3 games of dance party bingo hosted by ‘Ethel Merman’ and ‘Yoko Ono’.

All proceeds support Rhythmix Performance, Art & Learning (PAL) program which will offer FREE virtual world music and dance assemblies to East Bay students this school year. Come as fancy or as whimsical as you wish. Rhythmix MashUP – Virtual Benefit for Youth Arts will be held on Zoom, Saturday, August 29th @ 7:30pm. And don’t miss The Golden Age of American Folk Music, an 8 week online course with Pete Elman.
