Have a Beer & Revel In Art @ Richmond’s East Brother Beer Co.!
JOIN: East Brother Beer Co. for a Summer Solstice Artist Showcase at 1001 Canal Blvd. in Richmond.
WHEN: Sunday, June 24th, 12-8pm.
WHO: Food Emporium, Richmond Art Center and Arts of Point Richmond will showcase local artists of all media types
ARTISTS: Over 30 local artists will showcase mixed media, paintings, photography, ceramics and more. Artist Lauren Ari will be selling paintings and small ceramic sculptures. She has a collection of ‘Bedscapes’ that explore the world of our sleeping and dreaming – where beds serve as a platform for Archetypes to drive our dreams. Lauren teaches art classes at the Richmond Art Center and has a studio at 601 St. in Richmond.
Jon H. Wong is a painter and illustrator also selling his work. “I
infuse all of my Pen & Ink illustrations with coffee,” says Jon. “Funny story, it happened by accident one jittery morning, and when I discovered how cool the sepia wash looked, the rest is history.“
Jon is the founder of Lost Colony San Francisco, a vehicle for Jon to give back to the Bay Area community. He is creating a coffee table book with his artwork and plans to go on tour on the West Coast and sell original drawings, books and more. A portion of sales will go to select charities in the cities where he stops – especially those helping with homeless outreach/relief and women’s’ domestic violence counseling/relief.
More fun is promised with performance artists, including a trio called “The Drinking” and a solo artist name David McBride.
