The Experience, Alameda: Faction Brewing Co. Spring Beer

The Experience:

Faction’s PILS is Back!

Taproom staff did a ‘cooler check’ yesterday and discovered they have a ton of good stuff! You’ll find super fresh beers available in their tasting room and in their online store. You’ll be glad that Faction’s Pilsner is back just in time for spring and baseball season. Their traditional German style Pilsner is light, fresh and crispy and according to staff, it’s ideal for the warm weather months coming up. So order online or grab your friends and get down to Alameda Point.

Views are great during the day and as the sun sets over San Francisco. Faction Brewing is open: Wed/Thurs, 2-8pm; Fri/Sat 12-8pm; Sun 12-6pm. Cheers.

The Experience, Oakland: Waldear Kegerators

The Experience:

What’s Brewing at your House?

This Waldear Kegerator is ready to roll out the door to some lucky beer drinker’s home.

Get ready for the warmer weather and elevate the beer drinking experience at your home! Pouring beers for friends and families  just got more fun. These  kegerators are built by hand with an elegant finish. Besides being a nice piece of furniture, they are also eco and wallet friendly. Buying fresh kegs of beer reduces the waste caused by cans and bottles and is kinder to your wallet over time.

“Right now folks seem to be stocking their kegrator with Barebottle kegs and Home Brew,” says owner Jamie Waldear. “It all started during the pandemic  with the closing of the breweries. My dad, a custom cabinet maker, and I built our own kegerator and brought that brewery vibe to our backyard.”

Waldear Kegerators are custom made to fit your outdoor room or indoor space. Plus, it’s a way to support your favorite craft brewery. Follow Waldear Kegerators on Instagram to track upcoming events and demos. You can text Jamie at (510) 529-1133.

The Experience, Alameda: Faction Brewing Co. Beer Week

The Experience:

Quadfecta of Hoppy Beers!

You might ask. “What is a Quadfecta?” In horse-racing betting a trifecta is betting on the winners of the first three places. So, for Beer Week 2022 Faction has a “Quadfecta” of hoppy beers coming your way in cans and draft.  In their ode to hops, they have one beer on each rung of the hoppy ladder: Pale Ale, IPA, IIPA, and IIIPA.

They’ve also been having a lot of fun playing with Active Fermentation Dry Hopping (AFDH) or 2-stage dry-hopping. They dry hop 3 days into fermentation, and then again after fermentation. It seems to impart greater hop aroma and flavor in the beer. All releasing next Friday 2/11 at 3pm-ish after being canned that morning!

Check out the lineup:

  1. Destroyed by Riip – In collaboration with Riip Beer Co. they brewed a 5.5% ABV Pale Ale, massively hopped with Columbus Cryo, HBC586 Cryo and Citra.
  2. Jugdish IPA – additional dose of Idaho 7 hops through AFDH. “Goodnight, Jugdish.”
  3. Hop Soup IIPA Their annual Beer Week IIPA! 8.5% ABV Imperial IPA with All the Hops, with an additional dose of Idaho 7 hops through AFDH.
  4. Mounds of Green IIIPA First time in cans! They brewed this collab for Beer Week 2020 as a collab with Slice Beer Co. and it’s back! 10.5% ABV Triple IPA hopped with Simcoe, Apollo, Mosaic, & Strata, with an additional dose of Simcoe hops through AFDH.

Views are great during the day and as the sun sets over San Francisco.
