The Experience, Richmond: Anaviv’s Table Options

The Experience:

Private Dinner for Your Friends!

It’s intimate. It’s delectable.  Anaviv’s Table is back with a twist! You can book a private dining experience for you and 10-14 of your guests. You can reserve your dinner experience in their cozy tented pavilion outdoors or in their formal dining room indoors any day of the week.

Locally grown vegetables, fruit and herbs create delectable seasonally crafted dishes. Anaviv’s sources  produce locally, which is often more flavorful, and so much better for our planet and ourselves — shorter transportation distances and less refrigeration uses fewer fossil fuels. And buying from small farms also means less pesticides and better traceability.“We’re so lucky to live in an area where we’re able to source from so many amazing small farms,” says Owner & Chef Arnon Oren, “and, we love creating menus for you with the bounty from these local farmers.”

All guests are required to be vaccinated.

The Experience, Emeryville: Trader Vic’s Cinco De Mayo

The Experience:

Happy Hour All Night in the Lounge!

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with your friends on the water. Thursday May 5th Trader Vic’s is throwing a ‘Señor Pico’ style fiesta in the Lounge! Live music, courtesy of DJ Mayky, will fuel your all night Happy Hour. The Trader is serving Mexican inspired food & cocktail specials!
Music starts at 6pm. The Lounge area is for walk-in seating only on a first come first served basis!

About The Trader

Decades ahead of his time, Vic “The Trader” Bergeron chose to offer Chinese dishes alongside the then-contemporary Continental cuisine, creating the original fusion menu. Today, Trader Vic’s continues the tradition with an ever-evolving menu featuring dishes from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, and Japan.

In 1944 Trader Vic’s concocted a rum drink and served it to a guest who, upon tasting it, said “Mai Tai Roa Ae!”…or “Out of this world!” in Tahitian. The Original Mai Tai was made with lime, orgeat, rock candy, orange curaçao and aged rum. Today, the Mai Tai is the most famous rum drink in the world and you can only get the Original at Trader Vic’s.

The Experience, Alameda: The Local Reopens

The Experience:

The Local is Back and Brewing!

It’s warm and cozy, full of Holiday cheer and lights –  just the right spot to take a break while shopping or working. New owner Soco Munkhod recently reopened The Local to the delight of the community after it had shuttered in December of 2020. Fans are back with their laptops sipping their Lattes and noshing on tasty pastries and sandwiches in this lovely  historic building.

A community gathering place in  downtown Alameda, The Local is on the ground floor of the original Masonic Lodge building that has been at the heart of the community for over 130 years.

Besides all the wonderful espresso drinks, teas, wine and beer, they have an evolving menu of Breakfast pastries and sandwiches, lots of Lunch salads including a Chicken Cobb, and gourmet Lunch sandwiches. Do try their BLTA!  You can purchase holiday gift cards for stocking stuffers. And the added highlight is Happy Hour is every day from 2:30-4:30pm.

Current Hours: M-F 7am-5pm; Sa/Su 8am- 5pm. Check their Facebook posts for changes.  (510) 347-8388
