The Experience, Richmond: Maya Taqueria Tacos

The Experience:

Tacos or Burritos?!

Tough decision. But when you walk in, their friendly staff will help you decide. Maya is known for its carne asada tacos, featured here, but everything is delicious and extremely flavorful. Fans also rave about their chicken, pastor, shrimp and fish tacos. They do not disappoint.  If you like slaw and crema on your fish tacos, this is the place. Tiny as it is, efficiency and quality is big.

On the other side of the menu are the burritos. Top of the list are the butternut squash burrito and carnitas burrito. Some regulars favor the pollo burritos.

Maya chicken salad is always a big hit and a great option when you want to eat lighter. Vegetarians have options – veggie tacos, butternut squash burritos and more! Try the tortas and you won’t regret it. Made with fresh local ingredients and mucho amor. Family run and a warm welcome. Daily 10:30am-9pm (510) 374-6594
