The Experience, Alameda: The Preacher’s Daughter Wine Bar & Bistro Salad

The Experience:

Tasty Wedge Salad & a glass of wine, anybody?!

Before the summer ends, you have to try their unique wedge salad. It’s made with lettuce, eggs, cotija cheese, pickled onion, tomato, tortilla chips, and topped with their homemade cilantro-lime dressing. Add bacon or chicken! (photo below)

If you are more in the mood for a sandwich, they have some outstanding fare, including a BL-TEA – Bacon, lettuce, tomato, egg, avocado with shallot aioli. Yum.

Have you been to their Happy Hour yet? The great thing is that they give you four hours to be happy, not just one. Tues – Friday, 2-6pm.  HH price for Guacamole & Chips is only $6. And they have housemade chips! Or you can order from the main menu: Char Board – Selection of Cured Meats,  Cornichon, Seasonal Jam, cheese, fresh fruit, crackers or Focaccia – Tomato Pesto, Arugula, Garlic Olive Oil, Fresh Mozzarella.

The Experience, Alameda: The Preacher’s Daughter Wine Bar & Bistro Music

The Experience:

Old World wines meet R&B!

Step into the warmth of the Old World in a beautifully restored building that says ‘Alameda’. This unique wine bar & café named in honor of the owner Dianah Rodriguez’s father, is featuring The Lost Cats on Sunday, January 14 at 2pm. Cozy up to the bar and try a local or Old World wine and order one of their tasty flatbreads.

The Lost Cats will play jazz, both Latin and vintage, and rhythm and blues for two hours. You can get up and dance or just relax and listen. Band leader Jim Passard says, “I play this kind of music because I like the rhythm…and I play with great people and get to play some of my favorite songs.”

Not available Sunday? Join them for Happy Hour Tue-Fri from 3-6pm. Special pricing for snacks or order from the main menu of locally sourced ingredients.
